Happily Ever Laughter

Comedy
4 males, 2 females, single set - 2 Acts

What’s a guy to do when, at 2am, and wearing only a VERY skimpy towel, he inadvertently locks himself out of his apartment. He sneaks into his neighbour’s apartment, of course, so that he can use the window, crawl along the ledge and back in.  The neighbour, newly arrived, turns out to be a young woman (Joanna) who has just left home and her over-protective parents for the first time and she doesn’t take kindly to this intruder who she thinks is there to do something illegal! Long story short, he can’t crawl along the ledge AND hold on to the towel, so ends up spending the night. And, of course Joanna’s parents show up first thing in the morning to find that their darling only daughter is shacked up after only one day! And then there’s What’s-His-Name (Joanna’s German fiancé with the unpronounceable name) who ALSO shows up to add complications to complications. In the end, the lesson learned includes the old do-unto-others rule because after all, you never know...

“Light-hearted and full of  fun.  A sure-fire hit!"

- KATE BARLOW, HAMILTON SPECTATOR

“Good one-liners, funny, easily recognizable characters and
even the odd touch of empathy so necessary to good comedy.
I predict that it will be done often. "

- JIM COSTLEY, THEATRE ADVENTURES
