A
Murder Mystery
Marjorie Anne Fulton, a wealthy socialite, has been murdered. As a result of an extensive police investigation, her husband, Michael John Fulton is arrested and charged with her murder. The first act of the play covers the court trial where prosecuting attorney Natalie Sanderson introduces both expert and eyewitnesses in order to make her case. She is countered by Jonathan Hastings, the defense attorney, who puts up a defense based on the fact that the evidence is circumstantial and cannot be considered to be “beyond reasonable doubt.” When the first act ends, Michael Fulton is found to the not guilty of the crime and is released. The second act of the play takes place in the Fulton residence on the day of the murder, allowing the audience to compare the reality with the evidence given in court, and, in the end, to discover if the finding of the jury was accurate. An intriguing evening of theatre.
“The best play of the new season. Nothing But the Truth will keep you guessing.” - KATHY YANCHUS, OAKVILLE BEAVER
